Intricate patterns seem to be all around us - from interwoven dream catchers to the parallel venation on a leaf, from Grandma's crocheted purse to the mehendi on a bride's hand! 1. Printing au naturel:
Leaves and petals have pretty patterns on their surface due to the network of veins that run across them. Additionally, leaves and petals have various shapes. You can paint the leaf/ petal directly with paint and produce a repetitive pattern on your curtains, cushions or wallpaper. Another great idea is to make blocks or stamps out of clay. While the clay is soft press the leaf/ petal onto its surface and then let it harden. You've now got a stamp that can be used to make an awesome print over and over!

For those of you into these trends, how about harnessing the geometric details of a kaleidoscope or the spiraling pattern of a mandala and putting them onto your walls? 3. Detailed Light:
Light panels that create silhouettes are the perfect site for detailed artwork. You can allow natural light to filter in creating the pattern or you can place it in front of a bulb for an all day effect.
