Its Christmas time at Sanctum

Christmas is our favourite festival of the year. The nip in the air, the fairy lights all around, Christmas trees, Rudolf and of course, Santa Claus, make it festive and special.
So what's cooking at Sanctum this year for Christmas? Beautiful wreaths made from dried flowers and leaves; cushion covers with Rudolf, snowflakes & Christmas trees & wooden hooks and hangings depicting bells, and Father Claus, tea lights & napkin holders amongst others. Do visit the store & feel the Christmas spirit!

We had a hectic weekend at Vintage Garden. It was a lovely venue with a great vibe! We had such a good time there. Many of our existing customers dropped in & we met some lovely new ones too who have promised to come by & see the store. Thank you everyone for making it such a huge success for us. We truly appreciate your love and support.

Drop by at The Vintage Garden - Oct 19/ 20

We have been missing from the blogosphere for a while now, but we do promise to give you weekly updates. We are participating in the The Vintage Garden Pop-up this weekend. The venue is the beautiful Patkar Bungalow on Turner Road. We will be exhibiting vintage lanterns, festive cushion covers, candle stands, ceramic ware and a few of our signature pieces. There will also be many other brands & designers too. Do drop by! Timings : 11am to 8pm

Did you know that we have some in house celebrities at Sanctum? We are talking about some of our products that have been featured in advertisements. Some viewers actually contacted the production house / director to enquire where they sourced the products from because they loved them so much and wanted one too !

Decorating with Lace

Nothing spells old world romantic better than some gorgeous vintage lace. You can use lace all over the house - bedspreads, tablecovers, table napkins, runners and doilies to name a few. Here's some inspiration from the web :

We have just received some rare handmade lace table covers and bespreads at Sanctum made by elderly women from the a small district in Andhra Pradesh. Its a dying art as the young girls prefer crochet which takes less time than a tablecover which takes more than 100 days to finish. The women were trained more than 100 years ago by English missionaries, and the skill is being passed from generation to generation. We must value, nurture and preserve this art. Each piece is unique and one of its kind.. We are so glad that our customers are appreciating them & taking a piece of history home. Images below taken at Sanctum.

We are kickstarting the Valentine's Day festivities with a baking workshop at Sanctum tomorrow. Chef Shradha Agarwala of the Dessert Cart will be teaching you to bake some mouth watering desserts.
